Motor boats driven using impeller called jet boats. Jet Boats have 2 types differs by power plan: outboard motor and inboard motor.

Outboard Motor: the engine and propeller/impeller mounted outside on the back of the hull or transom.
Inboard Motor: the engine permanently mounted within the hull and, and propeller/ impeller passing through the hull.
Stern drive: the engine is contained inboard while the gear reduction and propeller are outside.
